UPDATE: Kanye West’s Twitter account was reactivated on Sunday evening following a brief disappearance earlier in the day. West made no mention of his return to the social media platform.
EARLIER: Kanye West does not exist — at least according to his (former) Twitter page.
As of Sunday, the rapper’s account on the social media platform had seemingly been removed, but exactly when, why, or by whom remains unknown.

The 39-year-old performer has notoriously used his @KanyeWest Twitter handle to vent frustrations in the past, including a January beef with fellow recording artist Wiz Khalifa that covered topics ranging album titles and children to Amber Rose and Kim Kardashian. More recently, he’s used the platform as a place to air his thoughts on Tidal and Apple Music.
“This Tidal Apple Music beef is f—ing up the music game,” he tweeted July 30. “F— all this dick swinging contest. We all gon be dead in 100 Years. Let the kids have the music.”
